Happiness 樂

The character 樂 which can be pronounced "le" or "yue" is one of my favourite Chinese characters because it means happiness and positivity (pronounced "le") but also means music (pronounced "yue").

Sometimes in life we all go through some hardships but we need to look on the bright side of life, have proportions and be optimistic and positive.

Bright and colourful inside while seems dark outside

This painting has very dark shades on top but underneath it's happy and colourful.

The character 樂 is "dug" into so you can see the canvas, implying that our human core is, or should be optimistic, and life is beautiful and colourful, even if sometimes times are hard and it seems that everything is dark.
